We need more “Principal Franks”
I applaud Principal Laura Franks for taking action against a very unruly child (“Roosevelt principal resigned after ‘swat’,” Oct. 20).
Lawmakers should have never removed spankings from the classroom. When I was in grade school the last thing we kids wanted was to get in trouble and face getting “hacked” by the principal; in turn kids “toed the line.” This punishment kept kids in check and it usually only took once to learn.
Teachers need to take back the classroom and kids need to learn respect!
