Thanks, Spokane, for STA

I’ve been riding STA buses in this area now since 1987 and would never be able to find words to express my gratitude for this service.

Since I live in Medical Lake the benefits of having the West Plains Transit Center, more frequent service, and being able to go to Cheney without going into Spokane first are huge.

Another benefit for me in being a regular bus rider is the many friends I’ve been able to make on the buses and in the STA Center downtown.

Also over these past 31 years I’ve been privileged to get to know wonderful bus drivers who are truly dedicated to public service. I really miss the ones who’ve retired but wish them well.

One of the biggest benefits for me is that no longer will I have to take #61 on weekends and holidays. That route takes close to an hour to get from Medical Lake to downtown Spokane.

I thank the citizens of this area for voting through the necessary funds to make these “going forward” upgrades possible and there are more to follow.
