Raise ‘adulthood’ to 21

The government can’t protect us from ourselves.

Not long ago voters gave 18-year-olds the right to vote. It was said that they were mature enough in both mind and body to make educated choices at the polls on any and all issues.

At 18 they can join the service, learn how to handle weapons from 9mm handguns to 155mm howitzers, jump from planes, go into combat and die for the USA.

However, also at 18 they are not mature enough to have a beer, smoke a cigarette, vape, buy a handgun or even a long rifle.

Yet people like Jay Inslee keep searching for more ways “to protect our youth.” Hell, since they got the vote, I figured with all the hype the government made they were adults. Maybe we should make

everything available only after turning 21.

No guns, no service, no booze, no smokes, and definitely no vote.
