Laws or suggestions?

So now it is permissible to ride a scooter on the street without a helmet. Convenience and profit are more important than safety? What has happened to the rule of law; do we ignore it now anytime we find it inconvenient?

Our City Council President Ben Stuckart questioned if the city should pass laws the council members don’t follow. One man’s opinion changes the enforcement of helmet laws of every kind citywide – that is un-American. Someone who only obeys laws they feel like obeying is a tyrant, not a legally elected representative of the people. When someone’s child is killed or brain-dead after not using a helmet, please sue Ben Stuckart instead of the city of Spokane; the rest of us should not have to pay the bill for this man’s stupidity.

Our county Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich has decided to ignore the new gun law that was voted in.

If our laws are just suggestions everyone can just do as they please. I encourage everyone to follow our elected officials’ example and just do as you please, drive uninsured, steal anything you want, and maybe even punch an elected official in the face.
