Inslee’s run on our dime

RCW 42.52.020 and RCW 42.52.180. Jay Inslee has been traveling around these United States of America for months now, promoting himself for a new job. His hopeful presidential run isn’t very hopeful.

How is it ethical for him to travel around, collecting a full salary, using an estimated $4 million in Washington State Patrol services to keep him safe, while he showcases his political ego? This is taxpayer money, not Jay Inslee money. We the people are his boss, he is not our king. Where are the checks and balances?

I have contacted my state representative Andy Billig and he disagrees. He thinks it is OK for Jay to spend our money all across these United States. I’d get fired if I submitted an expense report for flying anywhere unrelated to my job, let alone to go to an interview for a new position. Washington is proving to be ever corrupt.

Jay Inslee should step down as governor, repay the taxpayers the salary for the months he hasn’t worked for us, repay the Washington State Patrol for their security services and have his campaign pay for these things.
