Mueller report

Concerning the recently issued four-page summary of the Mueller report by Attorney General William Barr, President Trump has indicated that the Mueller report completely exonerates him of criminal acts. This is not correct. While the Mueller report does exonerate Trump of collusion with a foreign power over the 2016 election, the Mueller report states that Trump is not exonerated of obstruction of justice charges.

Further, Trump still faces criminal and civil investigations concerning campaign finance charges, the Trump inaugural committee, The Trump Foundation, that Trump violated the emoluments clause of the federal constitution, and alleged payments made to women for their silence concerning alleged sexual affairs.

The Mueller investigation included about 30 criminal indictments, of Trump associates of which about a third either plead guilty or were found guilty in a court of law.

If the above is not enough, under the recently proposed Trump budget we are now back to trillion-dollar deficits, while cutting back programs for the elderly and poor, and maintaining multiple billion-dollar tax cuts and exemption for the super-rich. And if the Hillary Clinton presidency had done the above? What would the Republicans be saying?

We get the government we deserve.
