Gratitude for the Spokesman-Review
Recently I read something surprising in this paper and paused. With gratitude, I remembered the articles and content is vetted and I didn’t have to worry about an article being malicious or misleading. With The Spokesman-Review, I’m free to read and learn without searching every topic on Snopes.com. I greatly appreciate that the content is broad in scope but deeply relevant, and NOT based on my own habits — so I can see a variety of perspectives and mind-expanding news.
I recently switched to partial week delivery and began getting Monday and Tuesday editions electronically. Much to my surprise, I read more of the paper on my phone than I do in print. I glance at each page in its entirety, touch to see a whole article (without flipping pages for the ending), or swipe to move on. It’s great to keep up on the news and comics while traveling, too. I do enjoy the Sunday paper in-hand, but encourage those who might be avoiding the e-version of S-R to give it a try.
So thank you, S-R staff. May you continue to successfully adopt new technologies and continue the beneficial work you do.
