Gerson on Mueller report
After a two-year investigation and a 400-page, heavily redacted report which few have even seen never mind read, the conclusions are plentiful. Depending on our political leaning, for many the results seem to be a foregone conclusion. Personally I believe we all need a thorough understanding of what the Mueller report includes and concludes. As a person who studied government and was involved with public service I have my own opinion. The behavior of numerous people including the president legitimately concerns me as being inconsistent with or stretching the limits of good government.
The article by Michael Gerson (“That was no vindication,” April 19) was thought out and well written. Mr. Gerson and I would probably not agree on many political issues. This article clearly states there is much to question about people’s behavior. Mr. Gerson has never been accused of being liberal nor has he been called stupid. This article is written with minimal slant and is well worth reading.
His final line is one we should all read and contemplate. “In this case, moving on would ignore and reward corruption on a grand scale.”
