Future of the Dems

Wow. Who would have thought that Nancy Pelosi would be the voice of reason in the Democratic Party?

They stand at a crossroad that could make or break them. They could use their power in the House and show America what they can do that is good: a tax code that makes sense; a health care program that helps all of us; close the “opportunity gap” with the help of some super-wealthy (Ray Dalio, “60 Minutes,” April 8); help those needing relief from education loans; and do it in a bipartisan way.

Or – like they seem to want to do – they can squander their power on a political game that benefits only one person – Donald Trump. The current noise and blustering keeps him constantly in the news and on every channel (CNN, Fox, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS)! They really don’t get it. It’s like wrestling with a pig – they get dirty and the pig loves it. They really need to get off the soapbox and down to running the country like we need.

I vote for the person – not the party. There are many others like me. Show us why you’re better. It wouldn’t take much.
