GOP complicit with Shea

Rep. Matt Shea is a threat to this state’s democratic pluralism and needs to be sanctioned and voted out of office.

His participation in white nationalist websites and his apparent interest in doing background checks on private citizens he considers his enemies are just two more reasons why. While he may support a new law requiring Holocaust education, he will undoubtedly claim there were good people on both sides so both sides of the issue need to be taught.

Shea never speaks to the media because he knows that by keeping his views relatively hidden behind innuendo and code phrases directed only at supporters, he can better work behind the scenes to advance his despicable agenda. Fortunately his Facebook audience is only 4,600, a mere 0.08% of the state’s voting-age population, so while he claims he will never give up, he has a long way to go!

Nevertheless, by continuing to permit Shea to use his elected office to demean others and foster violent divisiveness in the name of free speech, the GOP is complicit in weakening basic constitutional protections that are far more important than any right to own a gun.
