Thank you, STA

I wanted to express my warmest regards for the STA Plaza staff.

For 20 wonderful years the STA Plaza has been the venue for the Safety Rally. The Safety Rally is a youth lead safety fair for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to promote personal safety and resources that are available to the community. The STA Plaza in downtown Spokane has graciously opened their doors to our event and provided all the accommodations necessary for all people to be included. A special thank you to Mike DeConto from security at the STA Plaza for giving a great presentation on bus safety, and to Jenni Knoll for making sure our event always runs smoothly.

We had a great turnout of 273 people this year at our 2019 Safety Rally! We celebrated the 20th annual Safety Rally with some great safety presentations, many community organizations and so many smiling students.

We invite parents, teachers and students in middle school, high school and transition programs to join in on the fun! With a dance-jockey, interactive bingo and tons of prizes to win, the students have a wonderful time for the two-hour event and come home with plenty of information on personal safety a local services.
