“Justice for all”

With all due respect to Mr. Schauble (“Respect our national anthem,” July 17) and Mr. Decker (“The genuine American way,” July 28), you are missing the point.

The last line of our anthem says “with liberty and justice for all.” Our African American friends, soldiers and athletes aren’t disrespecting the flag, nor our country. They are protesting the fact that they don’t have the “liberty and justice” that our anthem promises.
