Gurel will be awesome

This letter is written in response to “Supremacist murders stir candidate,” (July 29):

Thank you to the Gurel family for bringing forth their painful story. Reading the article this morning reinforces my commitment that is it so important to vet our City Council candidates and really see them for who they are. Mr. Woodard clearly shows how out of touch he is with his community. Ditto for Mr. Higgins. Their insensitivity and lackadaisical attitude about racism and bigotry does not bespeak any leadership qualities!

Do they not understand that to have a cloak of racism and white supremacy over our city of Spokane Valley is simply a non-starter to businesses, industry and new families?

The leadership I want is exemplified by Mr. Gurel. He is money smart, he has common sense, and he truly cares about our community. He understands these issues and he will be an awesome addition to the city of Spokane Valley. Please vote, so that love overcomes hate!
