Armed citizens

Who would you rather have as a neighbor: an unarmed elderly person or an armed veteran who would put his life on the line for you as he has done so many times before?

I seem to remember the phrase all it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing. I enlisted to fight in Vietnam to avenge the loss of my friends and to protect others from evil. I will continue to do the same for my neighbors with weapons if necessary despite the cost to myself. Can others say the same?
