Ignoring the cause

This writer has become totally bamboozled by all the egregious rhetoric coming from the left pertaining to the two recent mass shootings. Everyone is playing the blame game, but never looking for the root cause.

Recently, James Howard Kunstler said it best when he wrote, “This is exactly what you get in a culture where anything goes, and nothing matters. Extract all the meaning and purpose from being here on earth and erase as many boundaries as you can from custom and behavior, then watch what happens, especially among young men. What we see today is no communities, no fathers, no mentors, no initiations into personal responsibility, no instruction in useful trades, no productive activities, no opportunities for love and affection, and no way out. Consequently, problems stem from young men who feel angry, alone, and have no relationship ties. And with that, mental illness, diagnosed or not, is a major component in mass shootings.”

It’s no wonder we find one-third of mass shooters were found to have some form of mental illness. We would hope that leftists will wake up and stop the constant hounding of people who disagree with them and begin to look at how sick our society norms have become. It’s exactly these accepted norms that spawn such horrendous killings. Until these norms are recognized for the evil they represent, and look for solutions, I only see more mass killings coming.
