Make Spokane Great Again?

“Woodward tops mayoral vote” in the Aug. 7 paper gave me a chill when I noticed an eerie similarity between Woodward and Trump.

Both are TV personalities who lack previous leadership abilities. Both are waging campaigns of fear. And both are promising a return to the past. Woodward wants to “preserve what’s made Spokane so great” while Trump continues to say he will make America great again.

Ben Stuckart, on the other hand, has a lengthy history of public service having served two terms as Spokane City Council president starting in 2012, and is focused on the future. We need Stuckart’s positive leadership to move Spokane forward rather than Woodward’s fear-based leadership to keep our city stuck in the past.
