Traumatizing children is wrong

How many children will be pawns in this Mexican standoff — seven so far.

Have Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray and Rep. McMorris Rodgers ever been separated from their kid at the grocery store and their heart stops? We are creating a generation that will hate Americans. No need to be a psychologist to understand permanently traumatizing children stunts their emotional growth.

Cruelty caused ISIS; can we imagine what these camps are cultivating? The Nazis rose to power with baby steps — read Anne Frank’s diary about when they first rounded up the children. Children are being held hostage for a wall that is to fulfill a campaign promise.

When are our elected officials going to remember that Russia is not our ally? North Korea is not our ally. Daily I see my elected officials turning their cheek as our president cozies up to these leaders to build a dark alliance for their own family’s profit! Is the reason they are so silent is because they are choking on the NRA’s money “contributions”?

This Congress and Senate have not taken their oath seriously by protecting our elections or these innocent children regardless of their parents immigration status.
