For the good of our nation

The only president of the USA to be impeached in modern times was Bill Clinton in 1997. After a five-week trial covered daily by television and national press coverage, the Senate acquitted Clinton and voted not to remove him from office, failing to have the 67 votes (two-third majority) required.

I predict that Donald Trump will soon be charged in several articles of impeachment by the House of Representatives and impeached. The accumulating evidence against Trump needs to be presented and weighed publicly for the good of our nation. Even if he is not subsequently removed from office by the Senate he will certainly not be nominated for re-election by the shamed Republican Party in 2020.
