Lucky to have Manito Park crew

I would like to acknowledge the crew at Manito Park. When my husband and I bought a house years ago, purely for the fixer upper price, we had no idea we were nestled between Manito and Cannon Hill parks.

I have walked or run through the park almost every day for 40 years. I have seen dog walkers, runners, bikers, medieval role players, ice skaters, disc golfers, soccer players and more. All of these groups are met with kindness and professionalism.

The crew around the formal gardens know some of the older dog walkers by name and ask about their families. They answer everyone’s gardening questions even as they are being interrupted while doing their jobs.

The park is ever changing and beautifully managed. We are lucky to have the park and the people who maintain it. It is a gift to Spokane.
