Trump pardons war criminals

Just before Thanksgiving our commander in chief pardoned four turkeys: three suspected war criminals and an innocent. Sadly, the innocent was probably slaughtered and plucked as soon as the cameras went dark. The other three, accused murderers who acted so heinously their own military squads turned them in, are now free to dishonor our armed services and provide walking, talking proof that America does not abide by the Geneva Convention.

America now serves as the de facto standard for justifying war crimes. Why shouldn’t ISIS pose with tortured and murdered civilians? America does. Why shouldn’t Iran kill prisoners? America does. And, by extension, why shouldn’t mad dictators use chemical weapons? American doesn’t care about the Geneva Convention, why should anyone else?

The president now wants his three pardoned war criminals to campaign for him. Why not? He’s already got Leningrad Lindsey Graham, Moscow Mitch McConnell, Red Rudy Giuliani, Rooskie Jim Risch and a host of other reprobates shilling for him. Why not add three more deplorables to the basket?
