Who is CMR Listening to?

Certainly not many who re-elected her. From time to time I contact Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ office about important issues and did so again recently regarding the accusations against POTUS.

While it’s unreasonable to expect a personalized response, the automated reply narrowly stated that she saw “no impeachable offenses” among the many uncontested allegations that POTUS schemed to benefit politically by withholding funds for Ukraine. Though not unexpected, the email response parroted party messaging obediently.

Unfortunately, blind allegiance in this case has the unwise effect of raising the impeachment bar to some unknown standard. If partisan minions persist in light of seemingly overwhelming evidence, future leaders will conceivably be unconstrained by the laws of this land. It is unwise to blindly accept party-speak, particularly when it `weakens our union. Do you have your own voice Cathy?
