Trump’s blind support

I am astonished to listen to educated and respected individuals continue to support Donald Trump, saying there is no evidence of wrongdoing, when Trump himself confirmed his own actions, has instructed those subpoenaed to ignore them — the very people that could clear his name, if that were possible — and refuses to cooperate in this process. It makes me think Trump is bullying these people or bribing them for their continued support. He has a history of destroying lives of those who don’t agree with him or bend to his will, threatening institutions to keep all his dirty little secrets or paying them off.

Now he has brought all his nasty habits to the White House and made us the laughing stock of the world. He tried to trade defense dollars to a country under attack by Russia for favors that would benefit him and his bid for re-election. Everything he does harms us and our allies and plays directly into the hands of his powers that are sworn enemies.

His environmental policies ignore the crucial problem of climate change and the fact that without addressing this vital issue nothing else will matter. We will simply be and her extinct civilization to be uncovered some billion years down the road.

Yet the Republicans blindly support and defend and deny.
