Captain Bone Spurs

My late husband was a professional baseball player. The Korean War started when he was on his way up the ladder to the major leagues. He was drafted. Although he knew that the time in the service would cost him the chance to realize his dream, he said, “a man’s go to do what a man’s got to do.” He became a decorated combat veteran, but lost his dream.

Donald Trump chose not “to do what a man’s go to do!” His dad got a doctor to say he had bone spurs on his feet, which kept him from serving his country. Well, “Captain Bone Spurs’” feet never kept him from walking hundreds of miles on multiple golf courses. Now “Captain Bone Spurs” is our draft-dodging commander in chief. That insults every man who had the guts to fight for our country. Why aren’t more people offended?

Incidentally, in my old age, I can’t remember if Vladimir Putin is our president or vice president.
