WSDOT hardly working

This letter is in response to “State puts portion of North Spokane freeway on hold in response to I-976,” Dec. 2.

Delay: Who cares? The state has been dinking around with this damn thing for 40-plus years, blowing many millions of dollars doing surveys, design changes and land purchases, but has accomplished squat.

Anyone over 50 years old will never use this section of freeway as it will not be finished in their lifetime.

Interstate 5, from Mexico to the Canadian border, took 23 years to build. That’s 1,381.29 miles long. Compare them. Washington state government is hard at work or hardly working.
