Repeatable and verifiable climate change
“2+2=4.” That is not an opinion. Math, as science, is data accepted as fact only when it is determined to be both “repeatable and verifiable.” The universal language of math and science allows scientists worldwide who speak different languages to understand how to affirm that the data is correct, using the method of repeatedly verifying the data. Therefore, when scientists worldwide affirm that climate change is real, and human caused, that is not opinion.
But if you still doubt, do your own “eye test.”
Visit Glacier, Montana, or the Columbia Ice Fields in Alberta, Canada, and compare today’s glaciers to the black-and-white photos of yesteryear. Google “The Northwest Passage” to learn that what was once a “pipe dream” thoroughfare now has governments in territorial disputes to claim the area as valid shipping lane.
And the next time your hear a politician begin with “Well, I’m not a scientist …” consider that a scientist looks through the lens of data; a politician looks through the lens of their agenda. Then ask yourself: Who is the most likely to present accurate information?
