Ticket scalping at Fox

Earlier this week, I got a email from Norah Jones telling me about her upcoming tour schedule that included a July show at the Fox and that tickets went on sale Feb. 1 at 10 a.m.

Being a loyal fan of her from the start of her career, I wanted to see her again for sure. I logged in promptly to the Fox at 10 a.m. to buy tickets and found there was a not a ticket to be had! I then checked out third-party ticket sites and found, yes, there were plenty to be had - except they were 3-4 times the original price!

Why do venues and artists allow this? Garth Brooks does not. It makes you want to not ever go to another show at the venue and not see the artist again as well since they do not respect the loyal fans.

The big question that needs to be exposed is how these third-party folks get access to the tickets in the first place? Looks like folks need to be sued to stop this practice or some laws need to be passed as well? Let’s all start protesting the venues and artist and the third-party ticket holders and stop this unfair practice!
