Gratitude to this city

Unexpected gifts add magic to an ordinary day. That is what the groomed cross country trails around Spokane, Indian Canyon Golf Course and the Merkel Sports Complex have meant to me.

I have a pass for Mt. Spokane’s groomed trails and love to go there but am doing good to go 5-10 times a year. Between the perfect snow conditions we are enjoying and the convenience of a 10-minute drive, I have been able to ski every day this week. In that Spokane provides this opportunity as a pure and simple gift to her citizens reminds me once again, with yet another example, of why this city is a great place to call home.
