Does either party care?

Republicans in Congress have no spines, but apparently some of the freshman Democrats have no sense.

Brad Sherman of California and Al Green of Texas have already introduced articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump and newly elected Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan opened with a vulgarity-laced promise to impeach, as well.

Never mind that there are currently zero grounds for impeachment of #45. Never mind that there are far more pressing issues, such as governing (i.e., health care reform, infrastructure repair and replacement, a coherent foreign policy, mending fences with allies, actually taking care of veterans, and on and on…). Never mind that most of us don’t think impeachment is a top concern right now.

And as for Ocasio-Cortez’s near-incoherent Green New Deal “plan” floated on “60 Minutes,” I can only say, “Whaaaat?” Is either party actually interested in running the country for the benefit of the citizens who pay the bills?
