Same fate for Crosland?

Robert Crosland was found innocent of animal cruelty. He fed an apparently sick puppy to a snapping turtle. He thought he did the right thing by “putting it out of its misery.” “I was always taught to not let animals suffer,” Mr. Crosland said.

Following this line of reasoning, can we assume that when Mr. Crosland is on his deathbed, he will want his family to put him into a tank of water with a hungry alligator? (A snapping turtle would seem to be too small.)
