Get the facts, please

Our current state of affairs for our democracy is disastrous. Regardless of party affiliation, what is apparent is our educational system has failed us. The inability to understand how the U.S. government works is appalling.

More than that even, is the mindset that fiction is somehow fact. Never has there been a time when it is easier to gather factual information and yet our citizens would rather fall prey to opinion, half-truths and outright lies. I ask everyone to go beyond the words spouted by pundits and politicians and actually research the information one uses to then form fact-based opinions. We will still have our differences, but at least our opinions and beliefs can be rooted in facts, not propaganda.
