No servitude, except …
So (Secretary of Commerce) Wilbur Ross recommends a payday loan for federal employees either furloughed or working without pay?
I think he and the administration should read the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:
“Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”
Obviously lawyers have found loopholes here.
