An inspiring article

Thank you for the story: “Composer celebrates Malheur Refuge” on Jan. 14. As a long-time birder, and lifelong lover of classical music, it really got to me. To the point that I would seriously consider going to Oregon for the premiere – so, please do continue to publish information on what is happening when and where for those like me, crazy enough to want to go.

Oh, and the reference to Finnish composer Einojunhani Rautavaara’s Cantus Arcticus also hit home, as I like that piece and have a recording of it. Of course I also love the symphonies of another Finn, Jean Sibelius.
