Print still well worth it

Just received our billing with the new pricing for our print subscription to the Spokesman-Review. Now, it’s $80 for eight weeks. Is the print version worth the increase? I say, yes.

The new rate works out to about $10 a week or $1.43 a day. For us, the print version of the newspaper is well worth the $1.43 a day for just the “feel” of paper in our hands, the comics section and the connections with the community. The “feel” of the newspaper in our hands? Research does show that even with e-versions of books and newspapers very readily available people still prefer print versions.

Let’s hope that the Spokesman can continue to offer its print version at a reasonable price for many years to come.
