Appalling D.C. military parade

I am appalled that the U.S. put on a massive military display/parade. The thought that we are joining the likes of Russia, China and North Korea in these displays of power is unspeakable.

As a retired military member, I am saddened at the thought of the many military families and units (not to mention dollars) being senselessly committed to this misuse of our military.

At a time when our over-extended military should be at home and celebrating our national holiday, they are being “deployed” for a display. Shame on us for allowing this to occur. Enough said.
