Truth of anti-gun policies

Spokane’s organized network of anti-gun activists, like Ron Boothe and James Dodds (Letters to the Editor), continue to flood the Spokesman-Review with disinformation and propaganda.

The late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia once commented that millions of Americans own AR-15s (called “America’s rifle”) and use them responsibly. And, to my knowledge, no semi-automatic rifle, including the AR-15, is a true “assault rifle.”

But Boothe still demands “gun regulations” on non-existent “assault weapons.” “Gun regulations” and “common sense/reasonable” gun laws are anti-gun lobby speak for the banning, confiscation and destruction of all citizen-owned firearms.

Barack Obama was stopped from banning and confiscating entire classes of firearms only by the NRA and the Republican Party, the party of freedom. Obama was an ardent admirer of Australia-style gun confiscation and destruction.

Boothe appears to contradict himself. He says “making certain kinds of guns illegal is in no way making guns illegal.” Say what?
