Look at the U.S. now…
America has always been a melting pot of different cultures. Let’s face it, none of us are indigenous except for the American Indians. It’s just that many of our ancestors immigrated during a time when the Statue of Liberty meant something.
How did we go from being a nation of warm, friendly people who sent soldiers to liberate those in concentration camps during the Holocaust to a nation that now puts children in concentration camps at our own borders? Americans looked on during WWII with horror and disgust, wondering how the people of Germany could ever support such a leader as Hitler. Yet look at us now!
People are worried that immigrants are hurting the economy when in truth it is our technology and AI that is the greatest threat to jobs as more and more people are being displaced by machines. But for some reason we aren’t talking about that.
If you are like me and think there’s not much worse than to have your child taken away, locked up in the worst conditions, possibly never to see them again, then we shouldn’t let it happen to others. What we are doing is unconstitutional and inhumane. America Wake Up.
