Lockwood has perspective, passion

I have been a teacher for 36 years. Throughout that time, I have met and worked with many people whose passion for the work of education was remarkable. All of them shared one overriding passion: how do we make schools safe, welcoming, and empowering for all students?

There are a handful of those who stand above the rest in implementing that passion and vision, and Nikki Lockwood is in that small number. Her dedication to better schools starts with her passion as a mom, but extends beyond into what will make the community of which she is a part better, more just, and more humane.

Nikki is able to articulate her sense of dignity and fairness for all students and staff in a way that connects with all segments of the Spokane community. Her perspective, as a passionate advocate for equity and inclusion, as a native of Spokane, and as a strong woman of color, are exactly what Spokane Public Schools needs in its leadership.

Please vote for Nikki Lockwood for Spokane School Board, Position 1.
