Biting the hand that helps them

So as if it isn’t enough that the city of Spokane breaks a leg to find shelter for the many homeless who seem to lack the motivation to pull themselves out of that situation, now a family is suing the city because they didn’t do enough! (“Family sues over city’s handling of tent city,” July 17). How much do the taxpayers have to put up to support people who won’t help themselves?

Don’t let Spokane become like “tent city” Seattle. Provide a certain amount of resources and make homeless people be responsible for their own destiny!
