Hattenburg for better a community

I am pleased to vote for Tim Hattenburg for Position #6 on the Spokane Valley City Council.

I moved to Spokane Valley from Clayton about two years ago for a job. I deliberately bought my house near the Centennial Trail so that I could bicycle to work and regularly enjoy a beautiful park. Bicycling is one thing I can do to address climate change on a global basis, and it can reduce local traffic congestion and mental health breakdowns from a crowded commute by automobile. It promotes a cleaner, quieter community and friendlier relations among neighbors.

The existing infrastructure in Spokane Valley is not bicycle friendly. We need to address the existing infrastructure problems with increased access for bicyclists in mind. I trust Mr. Hattenburg will make this community more welcoming to commute alternatives, which must be considered in light of our growing population and climate crisis.

Mr. Hattenburg cherishes the local values, has the experience, and I feel has the best interests of our citizens in mind in his bid for City Council. I ask that others consider supporting Mr. Hattenburg for a better Spokane Valley.
