Liberal irony

Liberals were quick to jump all over the attack on Jussie Smollett, and as always the blame settled on President Trump.

There was no end to the anger from nearly every media outlet and several Democratic presidential candidates. The unknown alleged attackers were convicted by commentators at MSNBC, CNN, and nearly every major paper in America. Presidential candidates Corey Booker and Kamala Harris jumped on board with comments such as “it was an attempted modern day lynching,” even in the face of strong circumstantial evidence that the attack was bogus. In other words, no presumption of innocence, just like in the case of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Now for the irony. A statement was released after Smollett was arrested with undeniable evidence stating “The presumption of innocence, a bedrock in the search for justice, was trampled on at the expense of Mr. Smollett.” So, if you wear a Trump hat you’re automatically guilty. If you’re a woman, Native American, gay, black or other liberal pet the rule of law must be followed?

The scary part about this amazing irony is that most people on the left do not even see the discrepancy!
