Celebrate Condon’s kilt

The Spokane mayor is brave enough to wear a kilt in public, and the newspaper crops out his legs and hides his attire behind balloons? What a missed opportunity to show off the mayor’s legs and to counter rigid gender norms.

I wonder if it was editorial squeamishness, or if the photographer failed to get a better shot. Kudos to Mayor David Condon for wearing his kilt to the St. Patrick’s Day parade. If the Spokesman has a better photo, of Condon in his kilt, please publish it.
