Make abortion a lesser choice

All of the letters to the editor concerning abortion focus on the religious aspect, the funding aspect, medical aspect, legal aspect or women’s rights. This battle between pro-life and pro-choice forces will eliminate legal abortions or make them much more difficult to obtain, forcing women back to the back-alley butchers of old.

The Rev. Jerry Falwell came to understand this and proposed the only real solution I have heard: the pro-life movement must provide for the babies and their mothers till that child is an adult. They must open up their wallets and spend whatever it takes to provide for those babies’ proper upbringing and education, including support for the mother.

You have to provide an environment that is so positive that an abortion will not be the best choice for a woman.
