Re-elect or impeach?

D. J. Trump wants to run for re-election as president in 2020 and Republicans, media and even many Democrats seem to accept this.

I now propose the Shakespearean invocation “to be or not to be” as a question to be answered by impeachment of Trump. Impeachment by the House of Representatives would only be a trial of Trump by the Senate in the public eye. Much would be learned about the Trump presidency, as was the case when Bill Clinton was impeached (but not removed by the Senate). Investigative inquiries of Trump would be exposed and only a large majority of the Senate, two-thirds in favor of his removal could oust him before the next election.

The trial and vote could save our great nation much agony and despair and would answer the question “to be or not to be.”
