A frightened bully pulpit

Regarding “Nikki Haley gives pro-business message to Spokane executives,” (May 9):

“Nothing scares an elected official more than involved business people,” she said. “Business people have the best bully pulpit to get the message out.”

Then we learn, in your addendum, the media was excluded from this event.

Apparently nothing scares a pro-business bully pulpit speaker more than an involved journalist getting the message out?
