More than just teachers

It is extremely saddening to see that these statewide budget cuts are occurring and laying off staff.

As students of the Mead School District, we come to school every day, seeing the faces of the staff and educators. These are the people who make the school what it actually is. They do not just teach us the core subjects like math, science, English and history. But really, they motivate us to get good grades, they encourage us to do the right things, and most importantly give us life skills that we will be able to carry on for the rest of our lives.

These people who make our school what it is, are being laid off. With this new budget, how are schools expected to run?
