WVSD levy is vital

As a mother of two children currently enrolled in West Valley School District 363, I cannot express sufficiently enough the importance of the Supplement Educational Programs and Operations Levy for every single one of its students. I can only hope that everyone in this district votes to approve the levy on the November 5th ballot.

It’s no secret among Washington state citizens that our schools did not receive the necessary funds required to maintain their budgetary needs. The levy will provide nearly 20% of the district’s total budget. These funds will help to keep their amazing teachers and staff, and also hire additional staff, provide advanced placement programs, engineering and robotics programs, bio-medical science programs, our award winning extra-curricular programs, and West Valley’s strong academic curriculum.

West Valley has always in my opinion gone above and beyond when it comes to our children’s education. The teachers and staff do an exceptional job ensuring students succeed and are ready to move on at the end of the year. By voting to approve this levy you will be helping the next generation be prepared for its challenges as well as ensuring a better future for us all.
