Hoping for a cure
Every year we have October to spread awareness about breast cancer. In the months in between scientists are trying to find an easier way to cure it.
For me, my mom being a survivor of breast cancer, I spent half of my life hoping that they can come up with a faster, less painful way. That’s seven years of worrying I was gonna lose her. I needed her for basically everything: dinner, driving, stress from school and big decisions in my life. Even though I prayed asking Jesus to let me keep her, it wasn’t like that just healed her — she had to go through so many surgeries, chemotherapy, losing hair, scars and taking care of me at the same time.
I don’t want anybody else to go through that because it takes so much away from your already short enough life. So, when your parents or doctors say to eat healthier, workout more, don’t do drugs, or vape - listen to them. Let knowing how terrible cancer is help you strive to live a grateful, happy, healthier lifestyle while you still can. Scientists and doctors, I believe in you!
