Fulcher unfit for office

“The Honorable” Russ Fulcher, Idaho District 1 representative, has proved that he is not honorable. He enthusiastically participated in an unlawful stunt perpetrated by several dozen GOP representatives in breaking into a secure venue, endangering national security by bringing electronic devices into that area, disrupting a lawful deposition, and compounding the disrespectful act by ordering pizza and leaving the debris in the room. The stated issue was “lack of transparency” in the congressional proceedings, though a number of those participating in the break-in were members of the committees involved and allowed to be in the room and ask questions. It was clearly a ruse, an attempt to distract and confuse.

Mr. Fulcher behaved like a small-time thug, desperately trying to gain even a small nod of recognition from the “Don” of a criminal organization. Mr. Fulcher abdicated his oath of office and House rules to play a sinister prank. He has demonstrated that he is not representing Idaho or the Constitution, but is solely and cravenly loyal to Mr. Trump personally.

Mr. Fulcher is not fit for office. He should be expelled or censured. Or We, the People should vote him out next year.
