Our beautiful nature-hood

Tom Hanks stars as Fred Rogers, the famous children’s television host, in the newly released movie, “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.” The title is taken from the song that Rogers sang at the beginning of his show, “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood.” Over the years, many people across the country have used it as a greeting or commentary on a particularly nice day.

Well, our area is blessed to have a wonder-full natural environment, so with a minor change we could use that same expression as a similar greeting, especially out on our trails: “It’s a beautiful day in the nature-hood!”

So put on your hiking, biking or running shoes (like Mr. Rogers in reverse) and have a beautiful day out there!
