An accomplished presidency
Michael Gerson, in his Nov. 13 syndicated column (“Cabinet silence could be danger”), called President Trump a dangerous fool, malignant, infantile, impulsive, authoritarian, incompetent, delusional and corrupt. This list of adjectives is more useful in describing members of the media.
President Trump is not a smooth-talking politician. It is this very attribute that endears him to a large segment of our population. He would likely be much higher in the popularity polls if this storm of media contempt was not heaped on him daily.
Since we are calling out the president, perhaps it is also appropriate to point to the assassination crew in the media, academia, left-wing intellectuals and the Washington, D.C., bureaucrats. Their advocacy in foreign relations, welfare statism and management of the economy and public resources has not been stellar for decades. Mr. Gerson is likely a member of this fraternity that has been forged in the crucible of regulation and globalization. They worry more about how the world views the United States than the welfare of our country and its citizens.
Trump has accomplished more in three years than all the politicians have for the last three decades. He has redefined our relationship with NATO and the Europeans, he has achieved essential trade agreements, he is addressing long overdue immigration reform, he has rebuilt the military and is extracting the U.S. from intractable regional wars.
And above all, he champions U.S. patriotism and nationalism. Well done Mr. President.
